In this regard, we have represented owners, lenders or lenders-turned-owners in connection with the Leadership Square, Bank One Tower, Oklahoma Tower, Mid-America Tower, Equity Tower, First National Center, Park Harvey Tower, Skirvin Hotel, Court Plaza, Perimeter Center, Norman Sheraton Hotel, Parkway Plaza Shopping Center, Walnut Square Shopping Center, the Boulevard MarketPlace, Greenwood Square Shopping Center and Kickingbird Square properties, and numerous apartment projects, warehouse and other industrial buildings and multiple real estate development and single family projects, all located in the Oklahoma City area, and the Warren Place development, both Doubletree Hotels and the Park Towers in Tulsa.
We are Oklahoma counsel to the real estate investment divisions of a number of major national life insurance companies and national and state banks. A number of these clients regularly conduct real estate related transactions, such as lending, loan acquisitions and loan participations in other states. In this regard, we have represented financial institutions in real estate financing transactions in 26 other states, including work as “lead counsel” in multi-state transactions.
Certain of our real estate counsel are licensed in Texas and have extensive experience in Texas real estate transactions. We regularly represent clients in connection with a broad variety Texas real estate engagements, including purchases and sales, financings and leasing, and we act as “leasing counsel” for numerous commercial properties in Texas.
The firm has represented both landowners and condemning authorities in eminent domain proceedings, including multiple pipeline companies and municipalities. The Firm represented the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority in the acquisition of right of way for the John Kilpatrick Turnpike in Oklahoma and Canadian counties as well as the City of Midwest City in development of the Town Center Plaza.
